The Friends of Yachats Library is a non-profit organization established August 2004, that supports and promotes library service in Yachats. The Friends of Yachats Library, a 501(c)3 organization, was established in August 2004 by a volunteer librarian in response to a need to seek funds and support for the library in addition to the allocated budget of the city of Yachats, Oregon.
The Friends of Yachats Library support the library by:
- Strengthening relations between the library and schools, local businesses, and other community organizations.
- Promoting public awareness of the many resources and services the library provides.
